Eljefe Smoke Finishs 15th Overall at the Jack Daniel’s World Championship

It was an unforgettable weekend for Team @eljefesmoke as they made their mark at one of the most prestigious barbecue competitions in the world—the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue, held in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Competing against the very best pitmasters from around the globe, Team El Jefe Smoke finished a strong 15th overall, a fantastic achievement in such a competitive field.

The standout moment for the team came when they earned a coveted walk across the stage, thanks to a perfect score of 180 in the Pork Ribs category. This rare honor showcases their skill and precision in a category that’s often considered one of the most challenging. With only the best of the best competing, earning a perfect score at “The Jack” is a moment to be cherished for any barbecue team.

The excitement didn’t stop there for Team El Jefe Smoke. Their Director of Dessert, @ajswan29, delivered an impressive performance, finishing 14th in the highly competitive Dessert category. Among 13 other perfect scores, this 14th-place finish stands out as an exceptional accomplishment in a field dominated by world-class desserts.

In the Chef’s Choice category, @mikelane.77 showed off some creative flair and took home a solid 21st-place finish. The competition was fierce, but El Jefe Smoke proved they have talent across the board, from savory meats to inventive desserts and chef-driven dishes.

Team El Jefe Smoke also took the time to congratulate their close friends @smokinhoggzbbq, who had an incredible run, winning both the Dessert and Chef’s Choice categories. Major congratulations also went out to Scuffletown Smokers for claiming the title of Grand Champion and Janky Leg BBQ for their Reserve Grand Champion finish.

The team expressed gratitude to their partners, @basqueshardwoodcharcoal, @humphreys_bbq, and @stumpchunks, for their continued support, which has helped propel them to these impressive heights in the competition circuit.

As the dust settles from this year’s Jack Daniel’s Invitational, it’s clear that Team El Jefe Smoke is a force to be reckoned with in the barbecue world. Rhode Island barbecue fans can be proud to have such a skilled and passionate team representing them on the national stage.
