R’Evolution American Bistro Cranston RI

Located on Broad Street in Pawtuxet Village, Cranston, RI, Revolution American Bistro is a delightful restaurant. My Feature Writer, Southychanh Salinthone, and I visited for lunch to sample their highly acclaimed barbecue brisket burnt ends over bacon-infused macaroni and cheese. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by Jamie, who was eager to introduce us to the restaurant and its offerings. The main dining room was tastefully decorated, creating a relaxing ambiance perfect for enjoying a meal.

The Star of the Show – The Brisket

The restaurant is owned by Dean Scanlon, who purchased it in 1999 and swiftly rebranded it as Revolution American Bistro. The establishment cleverly plays with its name, evolving as the restaurant does. I was thrilled to find Allagash beer on tap, my favorite accompaniment to barbecue. Southychanh ordered the beef short rib served over smashed potatoes, while I chose the renowned maple syrup-glazed burnt end brisket over bacon-infused mac and cheese. My brisket was exquisite—tender, flavorful beef with a perfect bark and a delectable maple syrup glaze. All of our needs and desires were meticulously cared for by our server Maral.
