Chef and Restauranteur Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks Q, Fool’s Errand, Orfano, Dive Bar, Tiger Mama, Tenderoni’s and Bubble Bath has made a name for herself “nationwide for her dynamic personality, culinary prowess, and fierce work ethic. Under ‘Big Heart Hospitality,’ her Boston based restaurant group, she creates restaurants that are warm, inspired, and instantly lovable.” www.sweetcheeksq.com Although some of Chef Tiffani Faison’s Restaurant Ventures have opened and subsequently closed, her FOOD reviews have remained STELLAR with each eatery undertaking. Tiffani Faison IS indeed an American celebrity Chef! She has served as a judge on Food Network’s television series “Chopped,” and she is a four-time James Beard Award Finalist for BEST CHEF: NORTHEAST, for the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022. Tiffani was the winner of Season 3 Tournament of Champions, a reality cooking competition television series broadcast by Food Network, created and hosted by Guy Fieri. Tournament of Champions www.foodnetwork.com features alumni of other Food Network Competitions series, competing in a single-elimination tournament for a Grand-Prize, in a blind-judged competition. Tiffani was also 1 of 2 Finalists on the first season of BRAVO’s reality show “TOP CHEF,” www.bravotv.com/top-chef and returned in Season 8 to compete on “TOP CHEF ALL-STARS.” Tiffani won “TOP CHEF HOLIDAY SPECIAL,” then competed in the spin-off show, “TOP CHEF DUELS,” placing 2nd. Tiffani was named “BOSTON’S BEST CHEF,” by Boston Magazine in 2022.

www.bostonmagazine.com and by this time, Tiffani Faison was known as “A FIERCE FIREBRAND.”

Born in Bremerhaven, Germany, Tiffani has said that above all else, she has loved her mother’s cooking. “I learned how to cook with my heart from my mom,” states Tiffani; “My mom did this incredible home-style food. I loved her cooking more than anyone’s.” Tiffani attended theCambridge School of Culinary Arts from 2002-2003 and was then employed as chef de partie under Daniel Boulud at his signature, Michelin Star restaurant in The Wynn, Las Vegas, and she also worked at Tao Asian Bistro at The Venetian in Las Vegas. After Season 1 of TOP CHEF aired, and Chef Tiffani placed 2nd, with her “VILLIAN-ESQUE” TV personality reputation as “A Bit%H” proceeding her, Tiffani took a summer position at the Straight Wharf restaurant in Nantucket, MA. In 2007, she was the executive chef at Famed Chef Todd English’s (former) brasserie, “RICHE,” in New Orleans, Louisiana. Tiffani says, “Todd English taught me the brass tacks. Working with him was kind of IMMERSION BY FIRE, quite frankly. He taught me all the basics: how to season, how to make pasta, gnocchi, how to work with a light hand and heavy discipline.”

Tiffani has said that her favorite cookbook of all-time is “The Joy of Cooking…because it all works!” Furthermore, in regard to making favorite dishes as home cooks, Tiffani advises; “The best dishes force you to slow down and do 1 thing really well. Sometimes people get caught up in trying to do too much, making 4 things for a 4-course dinner, and get frustrated. Find 1 thing you’ll enjoy- like pork-chops or steak. A well-seasoned piece of meat will teach you timing, seasoning, and how to pay attention to your food. When you don’t have a million other things going on, you can watch the caramelization, what happens to the fat, how the meat relaxes when it rests. YOU CAN LET THE FOOD TALK TO YOU.”  www.foodandwine.com

Chef Tiffani Faison opened Sweet Cheeks Q in 2011—during the very early stages of Fenway’s revitalization. Nationally, FORBES https://www.forbes.com deemed Sweet Cheeks Q’s Biscuits “THE BEST BISCUITS IN THE WORLD!” Most importantly, Chef Tiffani Faison has created a restaurant that is both a Fenway District neighborhood gem and a dining destination attraction. Gathering guests from near and far, Sweet Cheeks Q satisfies all who are seeking Boston’s BEST ‘Q!
